The first part of this course will start with a conversation around SEC Public Company Letters, focusing on the trends, processes, and understanding what action to take and avoid.
This course will then focus on challenges clients face in adopting GASB 87 and their approaches to addressing these challenges. During this session, our presenter will provide a high-level overview of implementation activities, including assessing controls and policies, process transformation to address identified gaps, and the collection and centralization of all lease contract data. We will also highlight the external audit expectations for documentation and the selection and development of a permanent and sustainable lease accounting system.
